눈을 조심하여 남의 잘못을 보지 말고

맑고 아름다운 것만 보라


입을 조심하여 쓸데없는 말을 하지 말고

착한 말 바른 말만 하라


나쁜 친구를 사귀지 말고

어질고 착한 이를 가까이 하라


지혜로운 이를 따르고

남을 너그럽게 용서하라


오는 것을 막지 말고

가는 것을 잡지 마라


남을 해치면 그것이 자기에게 돌아오고

세력에 의지하면 도리어 화가 따르는 법이다.
